Second Sunday of Advent – “When Christmas isn’t Perfect”
When all we look at seems to prove the people’s inhumanity to other people, we need to remember the power of God that still is at work in us and others. We need to remember the God is not dead, nor doth he sleep. We need to remember that because of Christ and Christmas, we have hope.
First Sunday of Advent: “Christmas Is Coming – Why Aren’t You Dancing?” Christmas is a time for worshipping, singing and celebrating. Yet, for some it is a time of dismissing or ignoring – dismissing the significance of Christmas or ignoring the real reason for the season; ignoring the gift of new life, ignoring the guidance and wisdom; ignoring the One Who has come to put pieces of our lives back together again.

Nehemiah reminds us that there are times, especially after great trials, that we need to remember to celebrate and give thanks to God for all that we have come through, and all that God is preparing us for in the future.
Jesus sees the poor widow and then predicts the destruction of
the temple, and warns his followers about the false messiahs,
wars, and persecutions that they will have to face.
