Leader: For the many who have answered when they heard your call to serve, for the many ways you have led us, testing will and stretching nerve, for our work and witness as we strive against the odds, we come here again today to gain encouragement, to gain courage knowing that you are the light of the world.
All:“Christ is the light of the world”
Call to Worship:
Leader: Tell them that I need it,” says Christ. “I need humble ones to carry my life to bring hope to the people
All: We will be Love!
Leader: Who will be Hope to the People?
ALL: We will be full of Grace!
Leader: Stay beside me now as I travel, for tomorrow the way may not be so welcoming
All: We will be Forgiving!
Prayer of Approach
All: Dear God we gather in response to Jesus’ invitation. As a family with unique and differing members, we gather as one people, aware of our differences yet not divided by them. We hold in common a longing for our spiritual home. Be with us as we worship with you. Amen
